We're excited to announce the 22nd Eindhoven Data Community meetup, hosted together with Studyportals at their beautiful office in the Klokgebouw.
This evening is all about scaling and optimizing dbt for modern data teams. Join us for two in-depth sessions focused on orchestration, deployment, and automation—featuring real-world implementations using Airflow, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code.
The Journey to Just-In-Time Data: Evolving our dbt Orchestration with Airflow
How do you ensure that a 450-model dbt project is ready for stakeholders by 9:00 a.m. every day? Katie Scheitzer and Armand Duijen from Studyportals will walk us through their journey to Just-In-Time Data. Learn how they evolved their orchestration from a single dbt selector to a fully dynamic Airflow setup that responds to upstream readiness. The session covers source variability, parallelization, lineage-driven scheduling, and how their pipeline finishes only when Tableau data sources are refreshed.
How to use CI/CD pipelines for dbt and deploy dbt Cloud using Infrastructure as Code + sneak peek into dbt Fusion
Tired of manual and error-prone dbt deployments? In this talk, Koen Graat from Xebia Data explores how CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code can transform your dbt workflow. From triggering runs on code changes to automating dbt Cloud configuration with Terraform, you'll gain practical insights into collaboration, data quality, and automation. The session also includes a preview of the newly announced dbt Fusion engine.
