Build faster with AI. Not just autocomplete.
AI is rapidly changing how software gets built. But most teams are still using GitHub Copilot for basic code suggestions.
During GitHub Copilot Dev Days, we go further. Join us for a hands-on developer event where you'll learn how to use GitHub Copilot to modernize applications, automate engineering workflows, and accelerate development across your entire stack.
No long slide decks. No marketing talks. Just developers, real tools, and real workflows.

Most Developers Are Barely Scratching the Surface of Copilot
GitHub Copilot started as autocomplete for code. But it’s quickly evolving into something much bigger.
With new capabilities like Agent Mode, planning workflows, and AI-assisted engineering tasks, Copilot is becoming a real development partner — helping developers write, refactor, test, and modernize code faster than ever.
The problem? Most teams are still using less than a fraction of what Copilot can actually do. This event is about changing that.
What You’ll Actually Do
This event is designed to be hands-on.
During the sessions you will:- Write and refactor code using GitHub Copilot
- Build AI-powered development workflows
- Experiment with Copilot Agent Mode
- Modernize an existing codebase with AI assistance
- Collaborate with other developers in mob coding sessions
You won’t just watch. You’ll build.
Technical Sessions
You can choose between several developer-focused tracks.
1. Modernizing Applications with GitHub Copilot
Modernizing legacy systems is one of the toughest challenges in software development. In this session you'll explore how GitHub Copilot can support modernization by:- Analyzing legacy codebases
- Suggesting refactoring strategies
- Supporting migrations to modern frameworks
- Accelerating large-scale code changes
Learn how AI can help turn complex modernization efforts into manageable development workflows.
2. Agentic Workflows for Engineering Teams
What if AI could continuously improve your codebase? In this workshop you'll build AI-powered engineering workflows that automatically:- Generate tests
- Improve documentation
- Refactor code
- Detect code smells
- Maintain coding standards
Instead of complex CI/CD configuration, you'll define workflows using natural language.
3. Getting the Most Out of GitHub Copilot
Most developers only use a fraction of Copilot’s capabilities. In this session you'll explore advanced features including:- Copilot Plan Mode
- Agent Mode
- Context engineering
- Prompting techniques for developers
- Multi-agent development workflows
You'll apply these techniques while building a retro arcade GitHub Contribution Battle Arena.
What You’ll Leave With
By the end of the event you will have:
✔ Practical experience using GitHub Copilot beyond autocomplete
✔ New techniques to accelerate development with AI
✔ Real examples of AI-powered engineering workflows
✔ Ideas for modernizing legacy applications faster
✔ A better understanding of how AI is reshaping software development
And most importantly: New workflows you can apply the next time you open your editor
Who This Event Is For
This event is designed for developers who want to understand how AI will actually change software engineering. Perfect for:- Software developers
- DevOps engineers
- Platform engineers
- Tech leads
- Engineering teams exploring AI-assisted development
Whether you're already using Copilot or just getting started, you'll gain practical experience you can use immediately.
What You Need
Bring:- Your laptop
- A GitHub account
- Curiosity to experiment
Most exercises will run in GitHub Codespaces, so setup is minimal.
