Event Highlights

Start your day with an enthusiastic welcome from our expert workshop leader, who will introduce you to GitHub Advanced Security (GHAS), GitHub Copilot, and Code Spaces. You'll learn how these cutting-edge tools enhance productivity and security in modern development. Next, you'll delve into the concept of a Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) app, gaining a thorough understanding of how it works and its potential applications.

You'll then get hands-on experience in Code Spaces, creating a script to import data into a vector database in a seamless, cloud-based development environment. Using GitHub Copilot, you'll generate an API with the LangChain framework, creating an endpoint to retrieve data. The workshop continues as you develop a client application to consume the API, testing its functionality directly from Code Spaces. Also, see how GHAS can prevent potential security threats from being exposed in your repository! In the final phase, you'll refine and optimize your app with Copilot's help, creating better prompts and finalizing your application to ensure it is robust and efficient.

Throughout the day, you'll blend theoretical knowledge with practical application. By the end of the workshop, you'll have a comprehensive and practical understanding of building AI-driven apps using AI driven development tools.
