Join Simon Vergauwen, a lead software engineer in Xebia's functional division, for a talk at FOSDEM'23!

FOSDEM is a free event for software developers to meet, share ideas, and collaborate. This year's event is February 4th-5th in Brussels, Belgium. Simon's talk, titled, "Functional Fun in Kotlin," takes place on February 4th.

The talk will be live-streamed and recorded for those unable to make it to the in-person event in Belgium.

Functional Fun in Kotlin

Talk Description:
Kotlin is great language to do modern functional programming, and in my opinion perhaps the best language to do modern mainstream (hardcore) functional programming. With the power of Kotlin DSLs we can make functional programming idiomatic, simple and elegant. This talk takes us through the different techniques that we can apply in Kotlin to achieve modern, and elegant functional patterns.

About the Speaker:
Simon Vergauwen is a lead software engineer at Xebia Functional and a maintainer of the Arrow set of companion libraries to Kotlin’s standard library.
