dbt Learn training taster
Join us for this 90-minute training taster that will introduce dbt, the modern standard when it comes to data modeling. After this session, you will be able to explain what the role of an analytics engineer is and the benefits dbt provides over other tools to model relational data. You will learn the fundamentals of dbt and apply your learnings to a little exercise about best practices.

This session is for you, if:
- You interact often with databases, data warehouses or relational data in general.
- You want to learn about dbt, the tool that allows you to apply software engineering best practices to model your data with SQL.
What you should know beforehand?

Some prior experience analyzing relational (tabular) data is advisable. There is no need to know SQL to follow the taster, but it is recommended to get the most out of it, and it is needed for the actual course.
Meet the Speaker:
David Coba
David has a background in mathematical psychology, where he used statistics and data science to study human behavior. He also has a passion for software development and multiple years of experience teaching about technical topics.
